After iQOO launched the 8 Series in China, it was rumoured
that they might be launching iQOO 8 and 8 Pro in India in September(around 19th
September). Debayan Roy (@GadgetsData), a renowned tipster, recently tweeted
about the launch of the iQOO 8 Series. According to the tweet, iQOO has delayed
the launch of the 8 Series. Instead, iQOO Z5 will be debuting in India this
month.
To recall, the iQOO 8 Pro is powered by the mighty Qualcomm
Snapdragon 888 Plus paired with Adreno 660 GPU. This is an improved version of
the Snapdragon 888. It has a 50MP Sony IMX766V primary sensor with f/1.75
aperture and gimbal stabilisation, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2
aperture, and a 16MP portrait lens with f/2.23 aperture. There is an in-display
fingerprint sensor, NFC, centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie
snapper, and slightly curved edges.
The iQOO 8 Pro runs on Android 11-based OriginOS 1.0 custom skin out of the box and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 120W fast-charging, 50W fast wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. It packs 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 16MP snapper on the front with an f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video chats.
iQOO 8 Pro sports a 6.78-inch 2K Samsung E5 AMOLED display
with a 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, 92.2 percent screen-to-body
ratio, 517 PPI, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and DCI-P3 colour gamut. Connectivity
features include 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, and a USB
Type-C port.
